Tatting Shuttle

The special knotting technique Occhi, also called Frivolité or shuttle tatting, has long been used to create traditional Occhi lace with eye-shaped elements. This technique is often used to make coasters, tablecloths, or lace appliqués for clothing. For this special craft, Prym offers Occhi shuttles for winding and knotting the yarn in various sizes and materials. This includes the classic shuttle made of plum-blue plastic or tortoiseshell, measuring 65 mm in length, or the versatile shuttle with a crochet hook and integrated bobbin, measuring 75 mm in length.
