Both the accompanying yarn and the accompanying ribbon are reflectively coated and can be incorporated into knitting or crochet projects together with normal yarn. This gives knitted hats, gauntlets, or wrist warmers the effect of a reflector. In this way, the effect yarn ensures increased safety in road traffic or during outdoor sports activities, especially during the darker months. The yarn and the ribbon with the silver reflective effect are available in thicknesses of 0.5 mm and 1 mm and can be washed at temperatures up to 30 degrees Celsius.
